Mama Money voted Best Fintech Startup in South Africa

Mama Money is honoured to be awarded the Best Fintech Startup in South Africa as part of the Global Startup Awards. Mama Money will now be competing with the best startups in the Southern Africa region in the grand finale later this year.

“This award strengthens our belief of social upliftment through financial inclusion. Mama Money has fast become the most trusted way for thousands of foreign nationals from countries like Ghana and Mozambique to send money home to their loved ones at a very affordable price,” said Mathieu Coquillon, co-founder of Mama Money.

“The Best Fintech category was the hardest one for the judges to choose a winner. What made all the difference in the end was the large number of public votes that Mama Money received. This broke the tie for the number one spot,” said Mckevin Ayaba, founder of the Southern Africa Startup Awards.
